Advent is tricky for me, I love the symbolism and the tradition, I’m still just untangling the toxic parts from the beautiful parts and trying to determine what still resonates and what really doesn’t. When I read your words, they are like a balm for my cracked heart, a gauze with ointment for my scratched spirit, and such a poignant and beautiful reminder that in the midst of this darkness, the depth of which can feel bottomless, we are the light we have been waiting for, we are somebody's something, and that is enough. There is another way that can only be built together, hand in hand and heart to heart. As we await that coming, I am tremendously grateful for you, Marci, and this community: holding hands, dreaming big, and trusting that this manger we have built is will give rise to perfect Love.
