Thank you for that lovely story about Louis and Lucille! I just learned (from Jeopardy) that Satchmo is shortened from “satchel mouth”. Don’t know who first gave him that nickname but now I’ll look that up!
my husband and our first kiddo lived in a hotel for a few months - over christmas, while i was on bedrest with our second kiddo - and some friends loaned us their funny table-top tree with filament lighting in it. we put a few well-loved ornaments on it - and made as much christmas happen as we possibly could.
