Note the cone of shame in the corner of picture—poor baby…
WEDNESDAY’S “IN JESUS NAME” POSTPONED THIS WEEK
Sigh… our fur baby Evie—aka “Eviekins”—is not well, my friends.
Not to worry—her ailment isn’t life-threatening. It’s just super uncomfortable for her and all-consuming—both financially and physically—for my husband and I. We spent the better part of our weekend at the vet and then at the pet emergency. Long story short, we’ve shelled out $3500 (not including all of our new fun pet supplies) to bring our Evie back to her old self. Life is hard sometimes—and then you add a sick dog to the mix.
The good news is that our Evie will be better and right as rain in about a week. But to get there, she will need a lot of extra, extra love and care to put her back on her feet. Between the round-the-clock meds and colloidal oatmeal baths and ointments—and oh yes, cuddles—I am way behind for this week’s In Jesus Name Black Eyed Bible Story, not to mention other projects I have in the works.
One thing I’m bummed about is that I’ve had to delay my book cover reveal. I can’t wait to share it with you—stay tuned!!!
Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that I haven’t forgotten about you and our beautiful community here that I love and adore. If all goes well, I should have this week’s lesson ready for next Wednesday. In the meantime, I will for sure still send out good stuff for our Hope Challenge.
Thank you all for your loveliness and your presence here. You have no idea how much I appreciate all of you.
Much Peace,
Marcie
PS. Here are a couple of pics of Evie on a good day. As you can see, she’s worth every penny and every lost hour of sleep:
There is something quite magical about our connection to our furry friends. Here's to a speedy and full recovery for Evie and to rest and gentleness for you. Can't wait to see the book cover... !
prayers for your little Evie, and you and your husband. <3
