Thanks for this today. I am feeling stuck in the muck and mire of my everyday and the reminder of “this too shall pass” is something I need to hear over and over. I have things to look forward to, but at the moment can’t even look that far ahead. But this moment shall pass.
I listened to a podcast with you and an Indigenous woman. I bought Water Protectors instantly but wrote down Braiding Sweetgrass to get later. I started listening to it on audible in December. Oh my goodness. I LOVE that book. I gave out 4 copies for Christmas gifts. I love the author reading it to me. Your post today tied in so beautifully with what I am learning in that book.
A balm of hope today. Thank you for these words. In these days, it feels so important to look up and be reminded that "this too shall pass". I also love all the seasonal descriptions of the moon. My beloved daughter was born near the Harvest Moon. Her middle name is, Meng Yue, Dream Moon.
This one is difficult to read and difficult to accept. Who would think there would be a trigger in four little words. My daddy’s second wife used these words flippantly with connection to anything. So many issues with illness, finances, children, etc. were met with those four little words. 🥺😢💔🙏🏻🤍💚
Thanks for sharing. Sorry for any wound these words may have opened. I would bet you’re not the only one. And if you had anything else you’d like to share, I’m certainly listening.
You did not open a wound, truly. The wound is always open, along with so many others, and I have yet to figure out how to let them be. Thank you for your thoughtfulness 🙏🏻🤍💚
