Looooooove. 🤓❤️📚 I want to read the George Floyd book. I’m reading several right now including Reading Black Books (you would love it, it’s Black lit + Bible) and South to America by Imani Perry and Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. I just finished Katie’s Canon (womanist theology) and The 1619 Project and bought Howard Thurman’s autobiography on your recommmendation. 🥰 Oh, and I read Disordered Cosmos with Nya! 🤩⭐️✨

thank you for more books to for my to read list... Also makes me want to reread Beloved.... I am reading Summer by Ali Smith. the fourth in her series which I think begins with Autumn. She is one of my favorite writers-- complex layering of time, current events, past event, film and art from various timelines. This one is post Brexit and also brings in camps in England for "aliens" which were Jewish refugees from Germany mostly... and so much more...

Books are a passion, aren't they? So very glad that you were able to take time for yourself and now, that you are sharing your insights with us. I've already added each of these to my list of to-be-read. I read Beloved in my younger years when I had no sense of what it really meant. And I've read I'm Proud of You: My Friendship with Fred Rogers by Tim Madigan. It is a special book to give to others. I look forward to engaging with each of these new recommendations.

Marcie! This list is awesome. Thank you. Beloved is my all time favorite novel but I will read it again now. It was life changing when I first read it but now 15 (20?) years later I know it will resonate more deeply. Something Wicked likewise is a favorite. I will get Billy Porter’s book on Audible immediately. I’m glad you took the time to read & also to share these insights. Welcome back! 💗
