Yayyy!!! I just finished listening to this fun and life giving podcast!!!! It was rainy where I live today and kind of dark - and lots of heavy stuff going on in the world that has a big part of my heart and mind - but I also got to listen to this and it was a gift!!! First off- SOOOO MANY shows I can’t wait to check out!!!! Notes were taken!!!😅😂🙏truly excited to check these out.
As far as what is good for me and giving me life - I am in a season where IG comedians are one of the ways God shows me I am loved!! I LOVE and RESPECT these artists and am so grateful for their gifts they share to bring joy:
Chris Hall
@chrxstopher.hall
Antonio
@heytonytv
Tony Baker ( have actually had the privilege of seeing him live at shows twice now- the best!!!👏👏)
Gussie Heagerty
@gus.heagerty
There are so many more but those are some of my favorites!!
Last ‘what’s good’ for me! Not a comedian but super helpful for where I am at with recovering from religion😭:
Brian Recker
Super grateful for his posts and shares.
@berecker
Thanks again Marcie!!!! Looking forward to the next episode!!💃🏻🥰
Hey Marcie - I meant to write so much sooner, but the world we’re currently navigating this week delayed my efforts to respond.
I enjoyed your 1st podcast episode. It was delightful and real (which is always enough) especially where YOU are concerned.
Thanks for putting together such an interesting list of what’s good. My hubby and I started watching RESERVATION DOGS 2 nights ago per your recommendation. We also watched every episode of POSE after you mentioned it on a previous post many months ago.
It has a Black female lead + the type of optimistic innocence I enjoyed on TED LASSO. I watched every episode of the latter twice, by the way).
We recently watched WE’RE HERE, the traveling drag show series on HBO & we learned a ton + we were deeply moved by all the participants’ stories. https://www.hbo.com/were-here
~I saw that the previous commenter mentioned IG comedians. I also follow Tony Baker as well as Darren Fleet who tickles me most with videos about his dog, Coach, who’s addicted to Starbucks’ Pup Cups: https://www.instagram.com/lovedarrenfleet/
~I also listen to the SAY YOUR MIND podcast with Kelechi Okafor, a Black British female writer, actress, director & social commentator. There’s a bit of everything on her show. She has HILARIOUS animated videos exposing all kinds of racism called SALLY IN HR that’s on IG: https://www.instagram.com/sallyinhr/
~Sometimes Black female British writer/comedienne, Gina Yashere, gives hotel reviews and music quizzes on IG that I find very entertaining: https://www.instagram.com/ginayashere/
That’s all for now. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but the I can’t think of more at the moment.
Grateful for you and looking forward to diving into more of your recommedations as time permits. I love documentaries!
