I love a good audiobook. What makes a good one for me is the narration, as well as a gripping story that I can’t turn off. If I’m still thinking about the characters and can still hear the narrator’s voice (bonus if the narrator is the author!) long after I’ve finished the book – so much so that I have to then read the print version, too – well, that’s a good audiobook. The best ones for me tend to be children’s books, memoirs and historical fiction. Lately, I’ve really been into historical novels about extraordinary girls, women and femmes.
