PRAXIS
Sometimes we might feel that we’re the only ones traveling along the road of hope. But maybe this is only because we’re not paying attention to the signposts all around us.
So, this week take note of the number of messages of hope you find as you commute to work, walk in your neighborhood, park the car in a parking lot, etc.—and literally read signs along the road that offer a message of hope or joy or love that restore your faith in humanity. Hint: Bumper stickers are a good place to start. Believe me, fellow “hope-filled hopefuls” are journeying alongside you.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
from The Easy English Bible
Our Father in heaven
you are a holy God.
Show us who you are.
Make the world a good place.
Do what is best here on earth.
Make it like heaven.
Give us everything we need.
Give it to us every day.
Forgive all the bad things we do.
Help us not to want to do bad things.
Help us to forgive people who do bad things to us.
Keep us safe.
You are king.
You can do everything.
You are a great God.
Yes you are.
Amen.
Amen. Grateful for your words.
Hi Marcie, I love this so much. Thank you for posting this. I told my son that had I read these words early in my life I would have understood so much more. I even don’t know if the forceful use of memorization would have been necessary. Susan
