Hello, Friend!
It’s Monday, so… inspired by on one of my favorite bits of the Bible, let’s start every week off with a little bit of whatever’s good and noble in the world. Here are a few excellent and noteworthy things I’m seeing in the world right now. Some are beautiful, promising, and reassuring. Some are poignant, thought-provoking, and necessary. All of them add to a greater knowing of God’s presence in this world, within our humanity, and out in the great beyond. And, they all prove there’s an abundance of spectacular, breathtaking tangible and intangible cosmic matter between us.
Please feel free to share in the comments whatever is good that you’re seeing in the world as well.
Blessings,
Marcie

Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Since I’ve been harboring a lot of negativity around the size and shape and weight of my body lately—and! (as if that’s not enough self-loathing) my age, this week I searched for videos that would combat these old ideas and usher me into body liberation, autonomy and peace.
My intention is to share blessings, but this stuff is hard and if you are not in a place to receive any of this right now, I want you to know that’s okay. Skip this week. There’s no pressure, no right or wrong here—just love. Trust your innermost knowing and take care of yourself.

Amazing this is the topic to start the week because I have dealt with the body shaming all my life, all of it self inflected. Couple that with turning 65 in exactly a month, anxiety, fear and a dash depression permeate my thoughts. Watched the trailer for Embrace ... plan to view as well as the Oprah interviews on aging. Ugh ... all of this so hard, but thanks to you Marcie for making the journey a little less lonely :) so love to start the week with BES ... it's relevant, heartfelt and hits home in a good way
I am filing this away so that I can luxuriate in this curated goodness later.
I have been dealing with the absurdity of loathing my body (whew! The panic attack I had over simply putting in a swim suit yesterday!) while she quietly carried me through over a week of treks and sightseeing and new foods. She’s so sturdy and steady and surprising and I choose to reduce and objectify her. And yet my heart still beats.
I can’t wait to recalibrate with the videos you curated. Thank you so so much for your candor. This is right on time.
