Everybody is dancing in the aisles of the DNC and I’m so here for it.

HOPE: SIDE ONE | OLD SCHOOL JAMS
These are all oldies but goodies and by old I mean Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Bill Withers, Parliament and other iconic legendary wonders…
HOPE: SIDE TWO | NEW SCHOOL JAMS
These are songs to uplift you when you don’t feel like dancing. I hope they rally you on those dark days…
But, I did throw in just a handful of bops that I guarantee will make you feel like a bad b*tch dancing queen. They might even tempt you to try a death drop (Todrick and RuPaul songs tend to do that). Enjoy!
Michelle's speech was awesome! Gotta second that. So glad you picked up on the music and the dancing because I, um, didn't. (Though I loved the last number last night.) I've had to switch from ABC to the straight DNC feed so I can get the convention less filtered. Newscasters and ads were talking all over the time between the speeches (and all over some speeches, too). Thanks for the playlist. I'm old and familiar with everything on Side 1, and I'm impressed with how you put this together around hope. Never would have thought of it. Lovely graphics in this post, too. Okay, last thing in my indiscriminate outburst: I'd love to see a color version of the pic to see in living color the overalls of the foregrounded gentleman. Enough.
YES! The music pairings with the roll calls, the speakers, and throughout the convention has been incredible! Michelle walking out to "Sir Duke", and then having Stevie on stage last night is iconic in itself, but then it just takes you on another loop of the joy ride, like "Freedom" by Jon Batiste, as the intro for Oprah.... Their soundtrack team/dj's have done an amazing job with their research, and hope inducing tunes. LOVING IT!!
